Renaissance Glass Studio established in 1987 by Sam Grillmeier has been a leader in the art glass movement in the area for 23 years, striving for excellence in the construction of leaded glass windows for residential and commercial applications. Mr Grillmeier was nominated and accepted as a Life Member for the National Registry of Who's Who of American Artists in 2001.
As a member of the Dayton Visual Art Center, Art Glass Association, and Glass Art Society he stays current on all the newest innovations, glass and material.
Whether building a new home or remodeling a existing residence I can work with builders or architects to design and build art glass windows to your specifications and needs.My fabricated windows reflect the highest level of artistry and craftsmanship. The 7th & 8th photos are of Awards for the City of Dayton & University of Dayton.They were blown by Thomas Chapman of Shiloh Hot Glass & photo etched here at my studio. The 10th are some of the 200 restored windows that were installed at Beth Abraham Synagogue in May 08 .My fused and slumped art glass may be purchased at my studio and at the DVAC Members Show July 3- Aug.20 2009 Opening Reception- July 3 5-10pm
Located in the Dayton suburb of Kettering the 1500 sq. ft. Studio offers easy access. From I-675 exit 7 Wilmington Pike/Bellbrook travel north to Whipp Rd.(west) to Bigger Rd.(south) 1 block to Andrew Rd.(east) Studio hours are Tues.-Fri. 11-6 & Sat. 10-4 Appointments are available upon request
