Beadventure Travel offers workshops for the bead enthusiast who is ready to travel, meet new people, experience other cultures and take a class beyond the boundaries of any ordinary holiday.

People often ask Cheryl Cobern-Browne, director of the Beadventures, why she would hire US beadmakers to teach in Venice or Ireland when students can take a weekend class nearer their home? Her answer is always an enthusiastic “Why not!” To work with a well-known, talented teacher in a historical and beautiful place is a double pleasure. To be given time to learn new skills with open studio time to practice them and also take breaks to see the country and meet local artists is more than a holiday, it is a rich cultural and creative experience.

Cheryl has been conducting Beadventures since 1998. In addition to the lampwork beadmaking classes in Ireland and Italy, she travels to South Africa, China, Turkey and Europe on a regular basis with teachers and students from all over. Beads usually always feature in her travels, although other creative endeavors can be found on her Mystery Holidays.
